Resources

Resources for the United States Military Brat are extremely limited. We are working on changing this.

Military Brats Living on military bases in the U.S.:

According to the FBI if you are U.S. Military Brat living on military bases in the United States and you need help, you are under the jurisdiction of the FBI, you can reach the FBI at (800) 843-5678.

Military Brats Living on military bases overseas:

According to the Department of Defense if you are a U.S. Military Brat living on or off United States military bases overseas, you are under the jurisdiction of the foreign government where the U.S. base is located.

  • Try contacting the military police first, then the Jags office. According to the public relations office of the Department of Defense the military police are now allowed to take a report of abuse, but they are not obligated.
  • If you are unable to get help go to the local police station and try to get someone who speaks English.
  • If you are still not able to get help go to the nearest American Embassy, and ask for help there.
  • If you still cannot get help call the FBI headquarters in the United States at (202) 324-3000. You must dial the country code first; it varies depending from what country you are calling from.
  • If all fails contact Military Brats Rights staff by clicking on the Contact Us link on this website. We will do our best to help you.

800 One Force Number

In regards to the 800 One Force number, we have contacted them, as well as the Department of Defense; and have been informed that “no one under the age of 18 is permitted to call this number.”

We are working on changing this. Please consider signing our petition. We hope that we can soon report that the Department of Defense has established an 800 number for all Military Brats, which we will of course, list here.
